- May 22, 2015 I have the same issue with the Photos app running super slow, I really dislike the Photos app, it takes a good 15-20 minutes to fully load the app, and I can't sync photos back to my iPhone, it sticks on 'waiting for items to copy'. Old iPhoto loads in about 30-60 seconds. All other apps on my late 2012 MacBook Pro Retina run just fine.
